“Hi there! I’m so glad you’re interested in taking your dancing to the next level. One of the most exciting and rewarding ways to grow as a dancer is by participating in a Dance Showcase. Let me walk you through what it is, why people love it, and how the process works from start to finish.”

WHY DO A SHOWCASE? “Students choose to do showcases for lots of great reasons:

  • To build confidence and stage presence
  • To have a clear, fun goal to work toward
  • To experience an accelerated learning process (you’ll be amazed at how much you grow preparing for a show!)
  • To develop a deeper understanding of a particular dance style
  • And let’s be honest—it’s just plain fun and incredibly rewarding.”

THE SHOWCASE PROCESS “Here’s how we bring your performance to life step by step:"

  • Choose Your Music, Theme, and Dance Style

    “We’ll sit down and talk about what inspires you. Whether it’s a romantic waltz, a fiery cha-cha, or something completely unique, we’ll match the right music, theme, and dance style to your personality and goals.”

  • Choreography Stage

    “This is where I create your routine—designing movement that tells your story, matches your song, and highlights your strengths. The choreography fee is assessed, and that includes music editing, concept design, and creative direction.”

  • Learning the Routine

    “We’ll use our private lessons to begin learning the steps and structure of the routine. The number of lessons needed varies—some students need 6, some need 10 or more, depending on experience and complexity.”

  • Developing the Routine

     “Once you’ve got the basics, we’ll start refining: timing, posture, expression, and partner connection. This is where it really starts to feel like a performance.”

  • Perfecting the Routine

    “We’ll polish everything until you’re confident and ready for the stage. You’ll rehearse with intention and excitement, so by the time showcase day arrives, you’ll feel prepared and proud.”

  • Performance

    Showtime!!!! Experience unmatched camaraderie and encouragement as you bond with fellow performers on showcase day.

 

INVESTMENT

“Here’s a summary of your showcase investment:

  • Private Lessons: $85 per 45-minute session (includes floor fee at designated location)
  • Choreography Fee: to be assessed per routine (includes music editing)
  • Performance Fee (if I dance with you): to be assessed
  • Showcase Organizer Fees: Not included, varies by event
  • Costumes/Props: You’ll be responsible for providing your own

Note: If rehearsals are held at a non-designated location, any floor or travel fees will also apply.”

ENROLLMENT “Once you’ve decided to do the showcase, we’ll lock in your music, begin the choreography, and schedule your lessons. It’s best to start early so we can work at a comfortable pace without feeling rushed. I’ll walk with you every step of the way, and we’ll create something you’ll be proud to share on stage.”
